1965 Barca Velha

The cork broke and the wine had to be decanted six hours earlier. Grapes then from Pousinho near Quinta do Vale de Meaio. Dona Antonia loved this region Still dark ruby with brick rim. Yet there’s a lovely nose and very lively and fruity and playfjul. Bravo! Very delicate. Very delicate and together and transparent, and very creditable for a wine this old. Is any other 1965 anywhere this good? Delicate, dry end but with lots fruit too. (JR)
