Tasting notes
Medicinal and the alcohol really hits you along with raisin fruit. Full and cloying and slightly sweet. What happened here?

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Terroir Series is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot. A well-made wine with a dense ruby/plum/purple color, attractive loamy soil undertones with hints of underbrush, forest floor, lots of blackcurrants and a whiff of chocolate, the complex aromatics are followed by a medium to full-bodied wine with a velvety texture, a lovely, lush mouthfeel, and beautiful purity and elegance. It should drink well for another 10-15 years. It is somewhat understated but certainly delivers immense pleasure and satisfaction.
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Terroir Selection is quite powerful yet also nicely delineated. Graphite, smoke, lavender, plums, blueberry jam and crème de cassis open up. This is promising.
