Tasting notes
Much more autolytic and bready and toasty than their 2010, with fuller body and a long, spiced apple character with bright zippy acidity cleaning up the finish. More complex and chewy and satisfying too, and shows the full complexity of great English fizz, as well as the typically excellent balance of Gusbourne. (RH)

No score given. Featured in Great value sparkling wine and Champagne for New Year's Eve and Best sparkling wines of 2016: Five Greats. Lots of complexity on the nose and palate: refined brioche aromas and white fruit intensity in a powerful, focused style. It is thrillingly zesty, structured and weighty so it has the ability to age well. There is a hint of wood ageing on this savoury, textured style. Fine mousse and excellent length too.
