Tasting notes
The 2015 Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru has a lovely bouquet with maraschino cherry, crushed strawberry and light rose petal scents, showing more fruit concentration than some of its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit, pretty crisp and saline. It just lacks a bit of persistence on the finish, but otherwise, this is fine, albeit needing an hour decant.

Mid blueish crimson. Candied cherries on the nose. Sweet start and substantial on the nose. Very charming with well-disguised structure. Promising! (JR)
The 2013 Corton Bressandes Grand Cru suffered just minor hail damage. It has quite a high-toned and “tarty” bouquet with mushroom scents infusing the red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with “stringy” tannins, moderate depth, but without the purity and precision of the Corton Grand Cru, finishing a little flat in the mouth. Perhaps this just fluffed its lines on the day? I will seek to re-evaluate this in the future.
