Mid smudgy crimson. Low-key nose. Well balanced, but very muted. Perfect for Michael Broadbent’s lunch, but are there enough Michael Broadbent’s around? Digestible, but not dramatic. (JR)

Slightly pale crimson. Solid savoury aromas but a certain reticence about the palate. Not especially dramatic. Low in both acid and tannins compared to most. Neat, unobjectionable bland wine. Very slightly dead. (JR)
