Truly glorious. Very rich and very sweet but not heavy nor sickly. Waves of pleasure. So complete. Fills every corner of the palate. Apparently this bottle had come from the cellar of someone of a very different political persuasion: Oswald Mosley. All I can say is that this bottle had clearly been stored in excellent conditions. Blueish green glass. Very dark ruby quite a way out to the rim. Very sweet and rich on the nose. Very very sweet and intense on both the nose and palate. Lovely to taste a wine in which nose and palate are so integrated. Very mellifluous. Neat, dry finish. Great lift. Gorgeous drink, Not heavy and sweeter than the La Mission but still with some delicacy. Complete and sweet. Though it doesn’t improve in the glass… the tannins start to insist. Belgian bottled wi th slip label Dalimier Fils of Liege , 4 lots of 1 dozen bottles at £900-1000 per dozen (JR)
