Score 93/100 · Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2013

The 2009 Meursault 1er Cru Clos des Perrieres seems just a little closed on the nose at the moment, although with aeration it offers that leitmotif of wilted white flowers and granitic aromas. There is a second wave that offers tantalizing glimpses of white truffle. The palate is well-balanced with a fine line of acidity. There is commendable body and weight here, fanning out nicely toward the resinous, waxy textured finish that is all about mouthfeel rather than flavor. Bon vin! These wines were tasted with Michel Bardet at the domaine after tasting his 2012s. It includes a mini-vertical of his jewel, the monopole Clos des Perrieres. Importer: several importers including Atherton Wine Imports, Atherton, CA; tel. (650) 328-6639 and Domaine Direct in the UK.
