100% from the 2004 vintage. Sand limestone soils, plus specific parcels with red sand. 60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir with roots over 6 m long. Much more complex and serious with a real minerally, bony, chewy palate. Tingling long acidity and verve. Shadow of spice. There is a something about this wine that makes me think of military and marching. More power and lots of rigour. (TC)

50% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, 10% Meunier. Meat and two veg on the nose. Nice neat filigree quality on the palate. Fully evolved and open. Serious stuff. Not especially long but very well balanced. (JR)
