Score 15/20 · Jancis Robinson MW, Feb 2011

Dark blackish with a rusty rim. Sweet and very ripe. Not as fresh as the Sierra Cantabria nor Viña Tondonia 1970s. Lacks freshness. Old carrots – ‘the sign of dead Rioja’, apparently. (JR)
