Stags’ Leap Winery

Often confused with Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, Stags’ Leap Winery is another Stags Leap District estate. With a long history, its Petite Sirah has cult status among aficionados, although – like most Napa estates – it produces a range of Cabernet Sauvignon wines.

Vines have been planted on the site since the 1870s, although production ceased for over 50 years from 1908. It was only after Carl Doumani purchased the estate in the 1970s that its wines were revived as he restored the estate. The estate was for a long time known for its Petite Sirah bottling, more commonly used in small percentages in blends.
