Known for his tiny, iconic Pomerol estate Le Pin, Jacques Thienpont purchased this estate in Saint-Emilion in 2010. Giving it the name L’If (the yew tree), the property – positioned close to Troplong Mondot – is rapidly becoming as sought-after as its sibling.

Jacques Thienpont – owner of Le Pin – purchased this Saint-Emilion estate in 2010. Wines had been made here most recently under the name Ch.Haut-Plantey, and Le Bouygue before that. Positioned close to Troplong Mondot and Valandraud, the purchase was particularly fitting, given the Thienpont family had owned Troplong Mondot in the 1920s.
