Château Rauzan-Ségla

The Chanel group purchased Margaux Second Growth Ch. Rauzan-Ségla in 1994. Under the iconic fashion house’s ownership and – since 2014 – the guidance of winemaker Nicolas Audebert, the estate has seen significant investment and rapidly become one of Bordeaux’s most desirable.

Ch. Rauzan-Ségla was initially part of the neighbouring Rauzan-Gassies estate, but were divided in the early 18th century. During the 1855 Classification, the property was awarded Second Growth status, valued just behind Ch. Mouton Rothschild. During the 20th century the property underperformed, but its fortunes started to change in the 1980s, when Professor Emile Peynaud was hired as a consultant.
