RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all the stuff you want to read online. For the consumer, an aggregator or reader, either web-based or installed on your computer, ties it all together.

To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. You log on to the aggregator and see the updates to your favorite sites, blogs and stores, all in one place. For more information on RSS, please visit:

2006 Copain - Syrah Garys' Vineyard
Nothing special, probably past it's window period. Light nose but LOT'S OF PEPPER on the palate. A little overpowering. Must drink with a rich meal to balance.

2010 Pisoni - Pinot Noir Estate
Young but a very strong Pisoni. Virbrant dark red fruit, supple and sexy in it's nose and to the taste. Medium finish. This is a young wine just entering it's window so I won't be tasting another one for at least a year. Beautiful wine

2008 Quintessa - Red
Beautiful and well structured wine. Still a little tight and needs a couple of more years. Light oak and notes of blue fruit. Medium finish

2011 Kosta Browne - Pinot Noir Russian River Valley
Drank against a Silver Oak Alexander 2011, KB 2009 RR Valley. This one wasn't the strongest of the lot but held it's own. Still young and needs more storage. Bright red fruits, some oak but nice vanilla and creme. Mild finish.

(Tasted Dec 22, 2015)
