RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all the stuff you want to read online. For the consumer, an aggregator or reader, either web-based or installed on your computer, ties it all together.

To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. You log on to the aggregator and see the updates to your favorite sites, blogs and stores, all in one place. For more information on RSS, please visit:

2005 Pepper Bridge - Pepper Bridge Vineyard Reserve
Much lighter than expected. Pairs well with multiple food choices. Rich purple with slightly lighter edges. Clear blackberry flavors, with tobacco notes on the finish. Hopefully the earthy components develop further over time

1999 Williams Selyem - Pinot Noir Central Coast
Zero structure. Tasted mostly like cherry cola. This can only go downhill

1998 Joseph Drouhin - Cote-de-Beaune-Villages
First off, i think my ratings have been off and have been on the high side. That said, this wine really surprised me. I expected it to be past its prime, but once it opened it had a sweet fragrant nose, a little barnyard funk on it. Mostly inerality on the palate. As the night went out the fruit emerged. Plum, some sour cherries. Not much of a finish, but good stuff all around.

1998 Saint Jacques
Was really surprised by the elegance of the wine. Light in texture, almost pinot-esque. Really complex on nose and palate. Didnt have much fruit initially, but was perfect with the roast chicken.

(Tasted Mar 19, 2009)

2006 Fielding Hills - Riverbend Red
I am consistently amazed by the meritage blends i get from Washington. Fruit and spice on the nose, and consistent with the palate. Complex, and in balance with the oak. A little nuanced cedar, some black pepper, blackberry and cassis. Long finish of sweet and mild tannins. Will get even better in 2 years
