About Porter Creek Vineyards
The foresight to buy Russian River vineyard land in the late 1970s has obviously paid off for George Davis and his family, who have produced Burgundian and Rhone varieties on their 40-acre estate since the early '80s. Currently farmed organically, Porter Creek is making the transition to biodynamic practices for its 100% hillside, low-yield vineyards in order to even more fully accentuate the individual character of each variety on each site. Winemaker and vineyard manager Alex Davis, heavily informed by French techniques, strives to craft wines of purity and finesse.
