About Black Kite Cellars
In the "Deep End" of the Anderson Valley, the Green family has developed Kite's Rest Vineyard, a 12-acre site set among the native redwoods. The vineyard, planted to Pinot Noir, is divided into 3 distinct blocks, which are handled, fermented, and bottled in block-designated bottlings. A general vineyard blend is also produced. Winemaker at Black Kite is twenty-five year wine industry veteran Jeff Gaffner, who also produces his family's own label, Saxon Brown.
