Professional Reviews For This Wine

Wine Advocate | Rating: 94

The only white, a blend of Roussanne, Viognier, Marsanne and Petit Manseng, aged all in concrete, Jenson's 2012 White is one of the top whites coming out Paso Robles today. Rich and yet also classy, fresh and perfectly balanced, it gives up awesome notes of apple and stone fruits, spice and brioche that continue to gain freshness and purity with time in the glass. Medium to full-bodied, beautifully pure and with integrated acidity in its elegant profile, it's hard to resist, and will continue to thrill for 2-4 years.

Wine Varietal: Rhone Blend

"Rhone blends" are typically red wines comprised of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedre in varying proportions. However, the red blends may also include any of the traditional varieties grown in the Rhone Valley such as the 14 allowed in the Chateauneuf-du-Pape appellation. There are also Rhone blend roses which use the same varieties as their red counterparts. White Rhone blends are typically some combination of Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier, Grenache blanc, and lesser varieties.
