(blended with 7% each merlot, petit verdot and cabernet franc, plus 3% malbec; 62% new oak): Deep, bright ruby-red. Subdued but complex aromas of cassis, sage, bay leaf, licorice, violet and minerals. Sweet, suave and bright, with compelling inner-mouth energy and perfume to the dark berry, dark chocolate and iron flavors. Very suave and subtle blend with fine-grained tannins and captivating aromatic persistence. The 2009 was a big success but this may be finer with time in bottle.

Still very young. Closed until day three and best on day four. This cab needs time, however if you are patient you will notice how delightful it can be. Bright ruby red with great depth and concentration. the complexities or earth, leather, mineral and caramel don't come out till much later but are worth waiting for. Enjoy!

Wonderful nose of graphite and wet tobacco. Very young wine and took an hour of opening to see impact of flavors. Light on finish. A nice bottle of wine with tons of potential in 5 years.

Wine Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is perhaps the world's best known red variety, with its full-bodied, intense profile. An offspring of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc, it is the primary grape of Bordeaux's Left Bank (Medoc and Graves regions) and the Napa Valley, but can be found growing all over the world. Typical descriptors for Cabernet Sauvignon are cassis, cedar, mint, black pepper, eucalyptus, and pencil lead.
