Good bright, deep red. Dark currant, elderberry and smoke on the slightly reduced nose and palate, plus a whiff of gunflint that reminded me of syrah. Plump and a bit syrupy in the mouth, with noteworthy depth to its lightly saline flavors of redcurrant, leather and smoke.
