Deep ruby. Musky aromas of black fruits, espresso and cocoa; shows a strong torrefaction quality. Lush, silky and refined; more filled in and showy today than the basic cabernet release, which is also from estate fruit in 2009. Richer and lower-toned than the regular cabernet, with complicating notes of chocolate, mocha, earth and game. Finishes fat and long, with harmonious melting tannins.Author: Stephen Tanzer
