Medium red-ruby, not as bright as the Proprietary Red. Musky dark cherry and graphite aromas are perked up by pepper and herbs. Offers a creamy texture to its sweet berry flavors, but an edge of acidity and a strong oak element currently cut off the wine's fruit. Shows less dimension than the Proprietary Red, which comes across as riper. Finishes with slightly tough tannins.Author: Stephen Tanzer
