($85) Good bright red-ruby. Very pure aromas of red- and blackcurrant lifted by flowers and minerals; this almost reminded me of Burgundy Sweet red berry fruit and mineral flavors are framed by an inner-mouth floral character. A very classy 2007, and not at all a shock-and-awe style in spite of its 15.1% alcohol. Finishes with substantial late-arriving tannins and firm acidity. Still a relative bargain in the context of today's absurd pricing for Napa cabernet.Author: Stephen Tanzer
