purely domestic wine report | Rating: 93

Concentrated aromas with integrated black cherry, tarry currants and blueberry with shadings of mineral. The palate is well structured and shows velvety blackberry, toasty java with nice acidity.

More elegant, but not as full bodied as the 2006 vintage. Currants, blackberries, blueberries and even a hint of dark cherry. Well balanced and a smooth, long finish.

Wine Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is perhaps the world's best known red variety, with its full-bodied, intense profile. An offspring of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc, it is the primary grape of Bordeaux's Left Bank (Medoc and Graves regions) and the Napa Valley, but can be found growing all over the world. Typical descriptors for Cabernet Sauvignon are cassis, cedar, mint, black pepper, eucalyptus, and pencil lead.
