About This Producer

Peter Rosback and David O'Reilly began Sineann in 1998 after working together at Elk Cove Winery. Rosback had decided to volunteer at Elk Cove on his off days to broaden his home-winemaking experience. In creating Sineann, the goal was to produce premium wines of a number of varieties, focusing on Pinot Noir. The result has been intense wines of strength and distinction. O'Reilly has now developed his own label, Owen Roe, leaving Rosback to continue production at Sineann. The winery sources fruit from appellations in three states: Washington, Oregon and California's Napa Valley.

Wine Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is perhaps the world's best known red variety, with its full-bodied, intense profile. An offspring of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc, it is the primary grape of Bordeaux's Left Bank (Medoc and Graves regions) and the Napa Valley, but can be found growing all over the world. Typical descriptors for Cabernet Sauvignon are cassis, cedar, mint, black pepper, eucalyptus, and pencil lead.
