A gorgeous Sangiovese, with blueberry, raspberry and floral notes. Full-bodied, with supervelvety tannins and along, caressing finish.

The 2007 Il Carbonaione (Sangiovese) bursts from the glass with layers of dark blackberries, espresso, flowers and spices. Sumptuous and flamboyantly ripe, the Carbonaione boasts superb purity and a multi-dimensional, textured finish. Carboniaone has a tendency to acquire Bordeax-like qualities as it ages. This will be another fascinating wine to follow over the coming years.

Oaque, deep garnet in hue with a bit of fine, granular sediment. Clean, developing bouquet of red and blue fruit, floral characters and wood spices. Dry, intense , complex palate of blueberry, raspberry with floral notes also present. Full bodied, long fine finish with superb flavor profile reminiscent of an aged Bordeaux with regard to flavor integration and smoothness. A definite favorite. Decant.

An amazing vintage shared with family! Deep purple in color with a silky smooth feel on the palate. Ripe cherry, subtle spice, and refined tannins. This wine provided a long, enjoyable finish! This drinks wonderfully now and should for the next 4-5 years.

Rich and complex plum & berry flavor. Long finish. This is a complex and well balanced wine but I wouldn't rate it a 97.
