The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon is no match for either the 2005 and 2004 produced by Stephan Asseo. It is more tannic, backward, and restrained, but also very concentrated, with huge structure. In that sense, the wine behaves more like a St.-Estephe than a California Cabernet. It possesses abundant quantities of earth and black fruit characteristics, but it requires 4-5 years of cellaring, and should keep for two decades.Drink Dates: 2012-2032
