The estate's 2005 Beaune Vignes Franches offers a fascinating high-toned nose suggestive of Cabernet Franc in its meld of flowers, nuts (pistachio?) and machine oil, exuberant, ripe cherry fruit and a smooth texture on the palate, and chalk and wet stone mineral character.

Silky and complex, this red shows succulent cherry, red currant and bilberry flavors matched to a firm structure. Great character and depth, with an old-vine intensity. Long, sweet fruit finish.
