Professional Reviews For This Wine

Vinfolio | Rating: 92

Sweet berry and vanilla, mocha hints in the nose. The palate is very smooth with elegant softness to the lush black fruit core, finishing with a bit of java and creamy dark fruits. This is a wine which a great pleasure to drink.

Soft cab but elegant. Everyone in our group thought it was very good. I think it's time to drink this now.

About This Producer

John Anthony Truchard comes from one of the old established vineyard names in Napa Valley. Along with his wife, Michele, he struck out on his own to create small production Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc, which is critically acclaimed, and is the fastest selling in the portfolio.

Wine Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is perhaps the world's best known red variety, with its full-bodied, intense profile. An offspring of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc, it is the primary grape of Bordeaux's Left Bank (Medoc and Graves regions) and the Napa Valley, but can be found growing all over the world. Typical descriptors for Cabernet Sauvignon are cassis, cedar, mint, black pepper, eucalyptus, and pencil lead.
