Professional Reviews For This Wine

International Wine Cellar | Rating: 93

Light, bright orange. Intense, spice-accented aromas of candied orange, redcurrant and fresh flowers, with sneaky mineral and leesy notes. Supple and expansive, offering vibrant citrus fruit and red berry flavors with complicating notes of cinnamon and pear skin. Finishes silky and long, with resonating spiciness and excellent clarity.

Wine Varietal: Champagne Blend

Three major varieties are used in a Champagne Blend: Chardonnay, which provides a smooth, creamy texture and Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, which provide depth and backbone. Most Champagne is non-vintage (NV), produced with grapes from several different vintages. Vintage Champagnes are made in exceptional years and must contain 80% grapes from that year. Champagne, France is the only region permitted to put "Champagne" on the label.

Blanc de Blancs: Meaning "white of white," blanc de blancs Champagne is 100% Chardonnay.

Blanc de Noirs: Meaning "white of red," is 100% Pinot Noir or a Pinot Noir/Pinot Meunier blend.

Rose Champagne: A small amount of still red wine is added during the blending process, creating a rose hue.
