Professional Reviews For This Wine

Wine Advocate | Rating: 96

Another profound wine, the 2002 Mernet Reserve is an equal part blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. It displays a distinctive floral element that may be the result of the higher elevation fruit as well as stunning notes of blueberries and black raspberries moving toward cassis. There are also hints of licorice, dark chocolate, plum and Asian spices, a fabulously opulent mouthfeel and a long, concentrated rich finish. The wine's structure is enrobed in a cascade of very ripe fruit and glycerin. This beauty should continue to drink well for 10-15 years.
