Compared to the '88 Clos de Bèze, there is a bit more of everything here except for more aromatic spice. Bigger, richer and with better intensity plus a bit more mid-palate depth and weight that causes the still noticeable tannins to appear better integrated. Beautiful now and while I would counsel drinking this over the next few years, it will clearly be capable of holding for at least another 10.Author: Allen Meadows
