Made from 100% Grand Cru Chardonnay vineyards and barrel fermented, from the first taste this is not a typical Blanc de blancs. With a beautiful intense gold color and ultra fine bubbles this is truly a hand-crafted Champagne in the best sense. Brioche, caramel and green apple on the nose and the palate has finesse yet combines with a subtle power and strength that only Anselme Selosse can obtain. This particular cuvee is a blend of the 1999, 2000, and 2001 vintages though it is still extremely youthful and will age gracefully for the next 15-20 years.

Worthy of a New Year's Eve dinner. This wine is very Cristal-ish, with fine bubbles and a lovely brioche and yeast noise. Balanced and delicious as an aperitif, but big enough to work as a great food wine, too. This artisanal champagne maker is a superstar in the making. Don't miss trying a Jacques Selosse champagne if you are lucky enough to find a bottle or two of his small production wine.
