Drink Dates 2013-2030

I was utterly astounded by how well drinking this was and how the nose of red fruits just exploded from the glass almost immediately with a very short decant (from a fairly small decanter without much room for air circulation, I might add). Dark purple with medium legs. Lots of minerals and a hit of sulfur on the nose. Sweet, candied cherries and plums on the first sip. Gripping tannins but there better for a wine this young. Acid was abounding and went fantastic with all of our courses. If I was Jim Cramer I would scream "Buy Buy Buy!" as for the price this is truly tremendous value. I affirm the Parker rating completely - and there's gotta be 2 decades left here - a dark horse of the 2010 vintage?

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
