full bodied, deeply complex, this rich bordeaux is driniking at an extremely fine level. notes of blackberries, dark cherries, charcoal, smoke and leather blend with silky tannins in an unctuous texture that all lead to a huge finish. on that finish there are even subtle oaky notes of peach. one great St Emilion.

Deep color, rich nose and forward flavors less Bordeaux in nature and more new world. Requires some time to open - would suggest decanting for an hour prior to drinking. Smooth berry and fruit flavors with added complexity of oak and earth. Very nice, especially considering the price. I would give this another year prior to consuming more - I do prefer younger, forward wines.

Not nearly as dark and deep as the critics exclaim. Nevertheless, it has a great bouquet of blackberries and blueberries. Medium bodied, with everything in balance. The finish is still a tad dry and tannic, but this will settle down in a year or two. Very approachable now.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
