13.0% ABV. Opened and poured, followed over one and one half hour. Initial nose of tropical fruits and fresh grass. On the palate there are melon, citrus/lime peel and some slight vanilla edges. The acid is actual quite low on this wine as opposed to past vintages, making the wine more smooth than zingy. As usual this is an excellent wine, always refreshing. Paired well with spicy crusted chicken and chipotle sweet potato fries.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
