Note that you can use the 'Report a problem' link which appears after clicking on any individual listing to notify our content team and partner of incorrect wine matches.
Auction prices are based on actual auction results (inclusive of buyerÂ’s premiums) of 750ml bottle sizes only. As auction prices fluctuate from auction to auction and some wines have limited auction activity, the average auction price is updated twice a month and derived from a proprietary algorithm.

Concentrated colour of deep red/purple. Ripe red fruits on a concentrated aromatic nose with mushroom, pine forest spice, and light pipe tobacco smoke. Dry on the palate with exquisite balance of acid and integrated tannins. Flavours of raspberry, cherry, and earth that linger for a nice finish that is smoky and with subtle spice. Very nice wine, and drinking wonderfully!

This is my second bottle to uncork. As with the first, it is a very mild Chianti with very subtle pepper. Dark ripe fruit and a hint of toast characterize the nose. Black cherry graces the palate, with a hint of anise. The tannins are polished and nicely integrated. Nice finish inviting another taste.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
