Cabernet that approaches the best Napa Valley has to offer at a fraction of the price. Strong dark cherry and plum aromas on the nose with a hint of vanilla in the finish.

This wine was densely packed - almost muscle bound - with dark, brooding fruit that did not open up even after 60 minutes in the decanter. Instead, the wine remained "one-note" throughout the course of the evening and never evolved. The Sonoma County bottling is better.

This is a good "everyday" cab. Nice plum and cassis nose and flavor. Full bodied and well integrated tannins. Not a blockbuster but hard to beat for the price.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
