Thanksgiving wine. Still very youthful and primary. Tons of upfront red fruits, with licorice and a sweet finish. Alcohol well-integrated.

Smoke, tar, ashtray, touch of forest floor, some black fruit, wow! Huge wine - a style we don't normally gravitate toward - but the layers and balance captivate here. Still has plenty of time left, but sadly, this was our last bottle.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
