Pleasantly surprised by this, given some of the less-than-stellar reviews. Quite substantial, fruity and well made, with good balance between the fruit, tannin and acidity. This wine is ready to go now. The only nit I would pick is that it's slightly soft and jammy in the mid-palate, but other than that it's a solid wine - if you drink it now. I don't think it's made for the long haul, but then it's a Cotes du Rhone, most of which are made for early drinking.
