This was our last bottle of a case of this magnificent Russian River Pinot Noir from Dehlinger. A beautiful nose of cherry pie, cedar & tobacco demonstraites a refined pinot at full maturity. Rich on the palate with a long finish. I wish I had more!

Deep, clear ruby red with aromas of very ripe strawberries, licorice root, and freshly hewn wood, this estate Pinot tastes of strawberries and cherries with a bit of root beer on the finish. A quite mineral-ish mouth-feel helps the wine to slide effortlessly around the tongue. It is a joy to drink on its own - light but filled with bright fruit. With food, the bright fruit fades quickly. Enjoy now and over the next 2 years.

Very tannic and slightly green. Definitely needs more age.

good, well balanced. Could give it some age to really come alive

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
