Solid, well made but nothing special. The fruit and the tannins fighting a bit. Smooth but just good (for the price)

This wine definitely needs to be decanted (and I didn't). It is quite rustic, with blackcurrants, plum and toast. Initially, I could smell the strong odor of alcohol on the nose and the wine was quite hot, covering the flavors, even though the label says it is 14.2% alcohol. The alcohol aroma faded after about two hours but the hotness didn't. This wine might warrant a higher rating if decanted for several hours.

Beautiful red not leaning strong towards purple or Young tannins that should allow it to age for years. Dark cherry, carmel and cedar. CR is a personal favorite and makes our ordinary nights special. I will retaste in the coming months.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
