Same as the other two. A very average Tuscan that seemed to be held in high esteem by WS. While not bad it wasn't great or had any real personality to it. Popped and pour but it didn't evolve much over the hour. Had with pasta. Flat finish.
While only part Sangiovese this was all Italy with that dryness of the Tuscan sun evident in the first sip. Black cherry and red fruits with undertones of chocolate and grilled meat. Nearly opaque, dark purple, tannins are softening but the acid and structure are there for this to pair with anything. Easily lived up to its low to mid 90s scoring. Great with pizza but don't hesitate to throw steak at it.
