A slightly subdued nose that slowly reveals a plethora of bacon, forest woods and red floral with a cranberry and ripe pomegranate core. Vivacious and bright with a solid structure with loads of cherry, smoky raspberry and elusive cola, spice and dried cherry. Brilliantly integrated acid that creates a harmony with the texture and spicy fruit. Needs a bit of time to totally integrate all of these superb elements. Absolutely lovely finish that lingers with texture and fine tannins, just teasing with cocoa and a dash of vanillin and dried cherries. Very limited.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
