Medium-dark ruby, unfiltered look in the glass. Strong nose f Cassis and black currants. Medium-full bodied mouth feel, with notes of blackberries and a touch of pencil lead. Great finish. Still a bit tannic - cellar until at least 2017.

Nothing major to add over past notes. This wine remains taut and has plenty of heft to last a long time. Flavors are intense and mouth coating. One of my favorite expressions of big - but still elegant! - napa cab.

This is a splendid wine from an excellent vintage. It has loads of plums, figs, currants, coffee. Very full bodied with smooth and silky tannins. A pure delight.

Arguably one of the finest wines I have had all year. Refined tannins with a hint of mushroom and loamy earth. This is a bottle to collect.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
