Producer Notes

In 1984, Olivier Leflaive decided to create a new vision for the wines of Burgundy with the help of his brother Patrick and his Uncle Vincent. He had one ambitious objective in mind - to apply their collective knowledge to the vinification of the best vineyards in Burgundy. Although Leflaive purchases fruit from many different vineyards, he is involved in many of the growing decisions.

I love white Burgundies and this certainly makes for good drinking. Light, oaky and dry.

Clean, Lean and citrusey, and clean with a spot of honey developing on the nose with air. Pale straw. Some mineral, lemon and a touch of oak on the nose. Zesty upfront, nice nose. Spot of honey developing on dry finish

I don't normally like white wines as much as reds but this white was an exception. I really enjoyed this white and I recommend it to anyone looking for a very good and cheap white.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
