This is bold, plush, ripe and concentrated, with potent currant, blackberry, black cherry and wild berry flavors that show a touch of heat. Ends with firm, minerally tannins.

$70. 77% Cabernet. Big fruity nose. Nice fruit on palate, subtle and soft tannin. Nice medium length finish. A bit one dimensional but very enjoyable.

A big, tasty Cali cab. Very fruity, but smooth and really very good. I only have one bottle left, so I hope to hold it for a few years to see how it changes.

Very plush with lots of silky smooth tannins. The nose had mostly cassis and something spicy I was unable to discern. On the palate, there was copious dark fruit and after an hour or more of air, that was replaced by dark chocolate. Very fruit forward at this point, I look forward to drinking a bottle of this in a couple of years when I hope it will be a little more balanced.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
