Opened about 45 minutes prior to drinking; bottle was not decanted. Color was a bright medium red. Nose appeared quite forward with hints of both red and black fruits. Definitely hints of vanilla from the wood but not overdone. On the palate, very well-balanced with fruit, tannin, and acid all in their places. Tannins still fairly pronounced but without any sharp edges. Plush fruit flavors ... this is a fairly elegant wine. Very enjoyable and a good fit for a steak dinner.

I bought an owc three pack at the vineyard last year and put it right in the cellar. Unfortunately this did not live up to my memories and it simply wasn't that great. Tight and slightly acid, ok fruit and an ok nose. This was nothing special and I was quite disappointed relative to what I remembered. That was first tasting of the day on that trip and I read my notes back to double check. Anyhow, this certainly isn't bad but for this bottle at least, it wasn't worth repeating at this price point. Perhaps it will improve with a bit more age.

I managed to hold off (almost) a year before drinking my second bottle. Very good wine. Lots going on here -- red fruit (strawberries and cherries), chocolate, and just a hint of olives. Still a bit tannic, but a nice long finish. It's going to take some willpower to hold off on drinking the last bottle.

Garnet in color. Medium rim variation. Medium legs. Mineral, Black currant (cassis), Blackberry. Very smooth finish, excellent but not sure it was worth the price

A bit tight to start with but after 20 minutes showed a number of layers of dark fruit

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
