I had this at a winemaker's dinner on 8/14/09. It was FABULOUS with a great bouquet of tobacco, cassis, plum, cherry, pepper, spice and toast. The palate was massive, smooth and well balanced with flavors that followed the nose exactly. It was utterly awesome!

Parker gave this 98+ points. Motor oil on a moonless night!! This is in my opinion better than The Grange from Penfolds. Enjoy this wine over the next 15 years.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
