Garnet color on edges. Nose of leather dark berries. Full-bodied with currants, earth. Lingering earthy finish. This wine could have used even more time in the bottle, but it's components were harmonious.

This wine fooled everyone at our "Bordeaux on a Budget" Tasting. It started out lean, austere and rather dull, but after 60 minutes of aeration in a wide decanter, came alive and began to really sing. Earthy, bordeaux character, balanced fruit and acidity with a long finish. An excellent food wine.

This is a very reasonably priced Bordeaux with good quality. Dry, medium bodied and well balanced. Blackberries and good acidity with a smooth finish.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
