Low US Retail is updated twice a month and excludes outlier listings. Detailed listings are sourced daily from our partner, Global Wine Stocks, and may include outliers. Note that you can use the 'Report a problem' link which appears after clicking on any individual listing to notify our content team and partner of incorrect wine matches.
Auction prices are based on actual auction results (inclusive of buyerÂ’s premiums) of 750ml bottle sizes only. As auction prices fluctuate from auction to auction and some wines have limited auction activity, the average auction price is updated twice a month and derived from a proprietary algorithm.

Producer Notes

Vie makes high quality, limited production Rhone and Zinfandel based wines from many of the finest vineyards in California. Their focus is to offer a balance of flavor and structure that make them as enjoyable today as they will be with age. Vie comes from the Old French word meaning "to invite" or "to give occasion for." Or, in French today, it is simply translated "Life." More »

Nice and spicy. After a day it didn't hold up too well but good when opened.

Enjoyed with the usual Wednesday killer cupcakes. Powerful and enticing nose of raspberry puree, blueberry, licorice and vanilla. Mouthfeel is balanced with blackberries coming through as primary fruit component. Acids and tannins are well developed and the chunky dark berry finish is delicious and is more long-winded than an Academy Award speech.

Somewhat funky nose, and a bit of a clipped palate, but decent juice all the same.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
